At North East Sports & Family Chiropractic, our main objective is to see how best we can assist you and your health needs. Often we are the last resort for many who have tried other ways to improve their health or to get relief from their problems.

When you visit our practice, three things will happen:

1. We will get to know you. You will never be JUST a file, or JUST a number.

2. We will make it a priority to find out what is the underlying cause of your health problem or concern.

3. Most Importantly, we’ll determine if we are the right fit for the health solution you’ve been searching for.

We focus on the relationship between the spine and the nervous system. And how this relationship may be related to your current health condition or health complaint.

Dr Jonathan Draysey - Chiropractor

After studying an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at Adelaide University Jonathan went on to graduate from Macquarie University with a Graduate Diploma and a Master of Chiropractic.

Jonathan is dedicated to helping people feel better, improve their movement, be more active and being overall healthier. His key areas of interest while studying included falls prevention in the elderly, sports performance, exercise physiology and rehabilitation.

So many people suffer from chronic conditions everyday that cause them to suffer and not be able to enjoy life to the fullest. Chiropractic could be the solution to helping these people suffer less and to regain their life again.

After previously working in a corporate environment he has first-hand experience with office ergonimcs and maintaining a work-life balance. Dr Jonathan (Chiropractor) lives north east of the city, enjoys cycling and is kept busy with an active young family.

Darren has a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology Degree from the University of New South Wales, as well as a postgraduate degree in Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie University. After graduating from the Master of Chiropractic, Darren volunteered in a spine care clinic in Botswana, Africa, in this time, he looked after many patients and conditions. Darren is impassioned and enthusiastic to care for and educate his patients to have a proactive role in treating their presenting problems. This also carries over in helping them improve their overall quality of life, and in turn having them take charge of their own health through his treatment and advice.

Darren uses a variety of chiropractic techniques that may be applied with his hands or with the use of an instrument or specialised table. Prior to undertaking the profession of chiropractic Darren was a remedial massage therapist for 16 years. In this time he also undertook yoga teacher training in Ashtanga and the Knoff system, and taught both styles for 10 years. When Darren is not in the clinic he enjoys exploring the great outdoors, and has a particular interest in hiking.

He considers regular exercise to be an integral part of a well-balanced life and if this can be incorporated into daily activities, even better. He encourages patients to do regular exercise and suggests specific home exercises to help with their treatment progress.
